Apprentice of the Month - January

To recognise the hard work of learners, our Tutors are nominating those who are doing exceptionally well throughout their apprenticeship to be awarded as our Apprentice of the Month.

Congratulations to our January Apprentice of the Month, Jay MacDonald! Jay is currently completing his Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship with Engenda Group and was nominated by his Tutor, Fiona.

Jay’s Tutor, Fiona said:

“Jay has demonstrated agility throughout the APM course by providing research and feedback on a vast range of topics within the project management modules. He works really hard and can draw on a vast range of knowledge and experience both from the course and his job role to demonstrate skills, competency, knowledge and behaviours and communicates clear direction for his project through excellent communication skills”

“Jay operates ethically at all times and in his professional discussion on ethics and within his EPA presentation, he has demonstrated time and time again that he does things in a way that promotes corporate, social and professional ethics and responsibility in his actions. This is apparent in his approach to learning and the evidence he submits which is high quality and demonstrates his professional integrity in all is actions, which are without compromise.”

“James demonstrates his naturally caring nature in all aspects of his work, qualification and professional interactions with myself as his tutor and his colleagues. He has very high standards, a strong demonstrable work ethic and a sound knowledge and understanding of his social responsibilities and commitment to compliance with safety standards on his project to protect the local community in which he works, which has been evidenced through professional discussion with me as part of his portfolio of evidence. He is driven to succeed at work and in learning demonstrating a keenness and eagerness to learn and develop his self both personally and professionally.”

“Jay is an inspirational learner who is inspired by personal growth and development and has a clear pathway planned for professional development and undertaking the Level 6 qualification which he feels will to add significant value to his career progression. He is able to lead by example when interacting with his team and has high hopes and aspirations for his future with the company, which I am in doubt he will achieve due to his ambition and drive.”

“From the moment I took over as Jay’s Tutor, it was evident that he is passionate about his job, the organisation he works for and the development opportunities he has within the company.  He continues to be given additional responsibility within his role, as a direct result of passion, enthusiasm and willingness to learn and grow within his role and he has developed a range of new skills and experience whilst working on his current project, which he will carry over onto other projects, improving quality efficiency and drive going forward.”

“Jay is an absolute pleasure to coach and mentor. He is a happy positive influence to be around and often brightens my day with his great sense of humour and outlook on life. I look forward to our sessions because I know they are going to be full of positivity, with a huge dose of willingness to learn and develop, as Jay sees the added value of his learning both in the short and long term. He has recently passed his PMQ L4 exam, which has been a massive boost to his professional pride and confidence and throughout has studied hard, showing commitment and dedication to his own development.”
