Apprentice of the Month - June
To recognise the hard work of learners, our Tutors are nominating those who are doing exceptionally well throughout their apprenticeship to be awarded our Apprentice of the Month.
A big well done to Dawn Pugh for being chosen as our Apprentice of the Month in June. Dawn is currently completing her Level 3 Team/Leader Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard with The Parts Alliance and was nominated by her Tutor Vicky.
Dawn has demonstrated great leadership skills by organising a successful awards evening within the business. Dawn showed good delegation and communications skills throughout the organising of the event involving other colleagues to support where needed. Dawn arranged certificates for the winning candidates to be presented on the night and also inspired the business’s suppliers to donate prizes which were given away on the night.
Dawn has showed determination to complete her functional skills exams. After not passing the first testing, she was more motivated to work harder, spending extra hours studying. These extra hours certainly paid off and Dawn passed her second testing proving that hard work pays off.
Dawn is always looking to progress herself and has ambition to complete her Level 5 programme in the future as part of her next steps.
Dawn’s tutor Vicky said:
“Dawn fully understands her role and is always supportive of others to help them to achieve their best.”
“Every member of staff I have spoken with about Dawn when asked, has said that Dawn sees the job through and takes on board what is needed and always completes her tasks on time. Dawn took on extra learning to allow her to pass her maths test and this was outside our meetings.”
“Dawn is engaged in the qualification and her role. When working through the units Dawn will carry out additional research, and the work provided is of a good standard.”
We look forward to Dawn advancing onto her Level 5 programme and wish the best of luck during the remainder of her apprenticeship!
