Line Manager of the Month - July

To recognise the continuous encouragement provided by line managers, our learners and tutors are nominating those who are offering outstanding support to be in for a chance of being awarded as the Line Manager of the Month.

Congratulations to our July Line Manager of the Month, Lisa Richmond!

Lisa was nominated by LSP Tutor, Fiona, following her outstanding support towards the progress of Daniel, Connor and Matt who are currently completing their Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeships with NT Killingley.

Fiona said:

“Lisa was quick to adapt to making changes in the working week of the apprentices to ensure they had planned time every week in order to progress towards achievement. She has been exceptionally supportive in liaising with the company MD Gareth Dillon and site managers to make decisions regarding time off the job for apprentices, demonstrating flexibility and a high level of support and encouragement in apprentices’ professional development.”

“Lisa did not hesitate to do the right thing to ensure that apprentices learning was planned, structured, uninterrupted and added value to the apprentices continued professional development. She involved senior management in the decision making to ensure that they operated within their own values and that the right thing cascaded from the top down.”

“A true people centred approach was demonstrated both in terms of the apprentices and LSP as a training partner. Lisa and Gareth actively listened to my viewpoint and provided me with a real insight into the challenges of the business, and worked with me to find mutually beneficial solutions that are impactful to the apprentices learning, whilst also meeting the needs of the business.”

“Lisa worked with me to overcome the challenges and improve Tutor/Apprentice contact time ensuring teaching and learning was increased and apprentices have the opportunity to grow, develop and achieve. They provided apprentices with a new way of working and managing their time more effectively for study and development.”

“Lisa and Gareth demonstrated a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to dealing with issues to ensure that the quality of the apprentices learning was not compromised, was fully supported from the top down and showed a real passion and commitment to apprentices achievement of the L4 APM qualification. Thanks Killingley’s for your feedback and support as an employer!”

Congratulations Lisa for this fantastic nomination! The amazing support and encouragement Daniel, Connor and Matt receive will have a huge impact on their professional development and the successful completion of their apprenticeship.
