Line Manager of the Month - May
Congratulations to our May Line Manager of the Month, Tanya Ford!
Tanya was nominated by her learner James, who is currently completing his Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship with Motus.
James said:
“Tanya always makes time for me, even when she’s busy. An example of this, although Tanya had been very busy with customers and tasks of her own, she quickly realised that I needed support and allocated time for me. I had started a new role and I was not familiar with all the systems and processes. This meant the world to me that she supported me in times of need.
In addition, she always gives me clear direction, which allows me to do my job efficiently. I am continually grateful for her ability to manage everything in a way that appears to be so effortless!”
“Tanya does not like to see anyone struggle and as a result of this ethical approach of her work, she will offer help and assistance where possible. Tanya shows great kindness and leadership skills.
An example of this, I had been struggling to gather evidence for my off the job tracker. Tanya had given me some great advice. We looked at my daily duties over the past few weeks and identified areas where I had learned new skills.”
“Tanya is very approachable and nothing is too much trouble for her. She will always offer advice and I admire how patient and understanding she is.
An example of this, Tanya taught me new techniques using excel. I didn’t remember the first time being shown. When I asked about the methods we used again, Tanya offered to go over this again. Nothing was too much trouble.”
“Tanya is a great line manager! She has always encouraged me to learn new skills and work on my personal development, even though I didn’t see potential in myself.”
“Tanya knew that I had not taken part in any DAF audits previously, therefore had prepared a group session to gather facts and evidence to support the audit. This had given me a clearer understanding of what is required and what is needed. I appreciated Tanya’s support which helped keep me at ease, since the DAF audit was a mind boggling task.”
