Apprentice of the Month - July
To recognise the hard work of learners, our Tutors are nominating those who are doing exceptionally well throughout their apprenticeship to be awarded as our Apprentice of the Month.
A big well done to Aaron Doyle for being awarded as our Apprentice of the Month in July! Aaron is currently completing his Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship with Kier in Manchester and was nominated by his tutor Janet, following his commitment and engagement within his apprenticeship and job role with Kier.
Following a slow start Aaron was working with tutor Janet and his Training Coordinator, Laura to get back to track with his training. The days and weeks that followed, Aaron’s manger, team and Janet saw a massive improvement. Janet receives positive feedback from Laura regarding Aaron’s attitude changing immeasurably and his positive attitude with time keeping and consistent delivery on a daily basis.
Aaron has since involved himself in Kier’s LGBT group, giving talks and spreading awareness throughout the company and at recruitment days. Aaron is one of two individuals selected to deliver short power point presentations to new recruits about what it is like being an apprentice within Kier. Aaron’s confidence has grown day by day, giving presentations to others in the company and presenting work for his apprenticeship.
Janet said:
“Aaron has encountered some barriers to learning when he initially began his Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Whilst the initial stages were somewhat ‘rocky’ he has taken on board some positive feedback and is now showing a better commitment to his qualification. He has recently been part of the delivery of a presentation given to other staff. The person who co-ordinated the presentation gave him very positive feedback about his involvement. His presentation piece was to do with what he was learning at Kier and what impact this had on him. Aaron’s communication and interpersonal skills are improving significantly!”
Aaron is showing solid commitment to his apprenticeship and looks forward to achieving his level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship and progressing to level 3 in the future. A big congratulations to Aaron on winning our July Apprentice of the Month. Keep up the great work!
