Apprentice of the Month - July

To recognise the hard work of learners, our Tutors are nominating those who are doing exceptionally well throughout their apprenticeship to be awarded as our Apprentice of the Month.

Congratulations to our July Apprentice of the Month, Chris Randles! Chris has recently completed his Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship with Merlin Entertainments and was nominated by his Tutor, Fiona.

Chris’ Tutor, Fiona said:

“Chris has demonstrated agility throughout the APM course by providing research and feedback on a vast range of topics within the project management modules. He has worked hard to gain his PMQ qualification and achieve his apprenticeship and can draw on a vast range of knowledge and experience both from the course and his job role to demonstrate skills, knowledge and behaviours and is able to communicate a clear direction for his project through excellent communication skills.”

“Chris always operates ethically and strives hard towards achieving positive outcomes when learning and representing his organisation. He has a strong moral compass and has consistently demonstrated through his professional discussion on ethics and within his EPA presentation, he has demonstrated that he does things in a way that promotes corporate, social and professional ethics and responsibility in his actions. This is apparent in his approach to learning, his self-determination and intrinsic motivation to succeed.”

“Chris demonstrates his naturally caring nature in all aspects of his work, qualification and professional interactions with myself as his tutor and his colleagues at work. He has very high standards, a strong demonstrable work ethic and a sound knowledge and understanding of his social responsibilities and commitment to compliance with safety standards on his project to protect the local community in which he works. This has been evidenced through professional discussion with me as part of his portfolio of evidence. He is driven to succeed at work and in learning, demonstrating a keenness and eagerness to learn and develop himself both personally and professionally.”

“Chris is an inspirational learner who is inspired by personal growth and development and has a clear pathway planned for professional development within his own role, which will add significant value to his career progression. He can lead by example when interacting with his team and has high hopes and aspirations for his future with the company, which I am in no doubt he will achieve due to his ambition and drive.”

“From the moment I took over as Chris’s Tutor, it was evident that he is passionate about his job, the organisation he works for and the development opportunities he has within the company.  He continues to be given additional responsibility within his role, and has achieved a promotion whilst on programme, as a direct result of passion, enthusiasm, and a keen willingness to learn and grow. He has developed a range of new skills and experience whilst working on a range of projects, which he will carry over onto other projects, improving quality, efficiency and drive going forward.”

“Chris has a very positive outlook and a great sense of humour and is full of positivity. His willingness to learn and develop, have helped him develop a keen awareness and understanding of the added value of his learning both in the short and long term. He has recently achieved his apprenticeship, passing his PMQ L4 exam with flying colours due to studying hard, showing excellent commitment and dedication to his own self development. I feel Chris is a great asset to Merlin and have high hopes for his future career with them, given their absolute dedication, commitment and investment in growing and developing their people.”
