Congratulations to Amy Hannah who was awarded our October Apprentice of the Month after being nominated by her tutor Mac. Amy is currently completing her Level 2 Vehicle Sales Apprenticeship with JCT600 in Newark and was nominated through her effort, hard-work and determination to succeed.

Amy has overcome two huge setbacks to her learning this year and remains positive in the face of some extremely bad luck. Having a period off work and away from learning is hard but having two in a year is really tough to come back from. Her determination to succeed should be applauded.

Amy’s tutor Mac said:

“Amy has returned to work after being involved in her second non fault, potentially fatal road accident this year, where both cars have been written off. The first accident Amy was hit by a drunk driver doing 60 mph as she pulled out of a residential side street and the most recent where she was a passenger in a car that hit someone who pulled out in front of them on an A road, the car she was in flipped over 4 times and ended up on the roof. Amy subsequently spent time in hospital with broken bones getting patched back together. Now Amy is back at work she is working hard, has caught up with her targets from the time that she was off and continues to push and stretch herself within her role.”

“Amy is always upbeat, she has a great way with customers and her colleagues and always has a huge smile when you come face to face with her. I do believe that it is Amy’s upbeat and positive approach to life that has allowed her to move forward and work her way back to where she should have been had the time off not happened. She is still happy to be out on the roads and the events haven’t effected her confidence.”

“Amy is highly responsible, she is committed to her development and the aims of the business. Amy is always proactively looking to progress and has worked extra hard to bring herself back to the fore despite everything the world and a couple of motorists have thrown at her.”

A big well done Amy for overcoming the past year and continuing to work hard both within your job role and apprenticeship qualification! Your drive and commitment in the face of adversity should be an inspiration to us all.
