Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship

Following the completion of his Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship with Henderson Insurance Brokers Bailey has now chosen to enrol onto college to study Business, Criminology and Sport with a goal to progress to university.

Before starting his apprenticeship Bailey was working for a caravan company, however decided he wanted to earn an income at the same time as gaining a qualification in a business environment.

Since beginning his apprenticeship Bailey has developed a wide range of skills and knowledge within an office environment. At the Hendersons Insurance office in Hessle Bailey worked closely with his mentors, Sarah and Emma to help him to progress through his qualification.

“I have learned what it takes to work in a professional and fast paced environment and complete tasks to the best of my ability. I have improved all of my office based skills and developed good work experience as well as completing my Functional Skills maths at Level 2.”

“I have been learning letter writing and putting this into practise by writing to clients and storing the letters correctly. I have been creating invoices and then sending them out, recording all the details into Acturis and updating this bespoke software with vehicle changes, which can affect the cover and terms of the client's cover. I have also been preparing property owner quotes for new business.”

“Within my role I also carried out mail handling, completing reports, binding, printing, copying and reception duties including answering the telephone and taking and passing on messages both verbally and through Acturis and in notes.”

Bailey is now excited to move forwards with his college course and put into practice the important skills he has gained from his apprenticeship. Congratulations Bailey, the LSP team wishes you the best of luck in the future.
