Congratulations to our March Line Manager of the Month, Declan Oshea!

Declan was nominated by LSP tutor Bill for his amazing encouragement towards the progression of the apprentices at BAM Nuttall. Declan is currently the line manager for two Level 2 Groundworker apprentices working on the completion of a Park and Ride project in Leeds.

LSP Tutor, Bill said:

“I have known Declan from the early days of LSP when he was a works manager on the FARRS site near Doncaster which was a new road to Robin hood airport and was very helpful in setting up the first assessment area and helping the apprentices. This has continued with two apprentices I have at Leeds with BAM Nuttall.”

“Declan was always helpful whenever I needed resources for the practical skills and continues to listen and respond to my requests on this new site.”

Declan encourages the apprentices to be the best they can be. In discussion he stated that if an apprentice shows interest he will go the extra mile the help them become the best they can be.”

“I wish every apprentice had someone like Declan to support them on site.”

“Declan has a project to run to ensure he completes on time, on budget and to a good quality, but he always seems to find the time to quickly respond to any emails I send him requesting information about his apprentices.”

“Knowing Declan for over 7 years I trust him to support the apprentices and some of his apprentices have progressed into higher education and have good career prospects.”

“The apprentices on Declan’s site are both doing well and I have nominated one to be apprentice of the month”

Congratulations Declan for this amazing nomination! It is great to see such a positive relationship between the line manager and LSP tutor, meaning the learners receive as much support and encouragement as possible to progress in their future roles.
