A huge congratulations to Devan Gibson for being awarded as our Apprentice of the Month in April! Devan is currently completing her Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship with Vertu following the completion of her Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

Devan’s Tutor, Mandy said:

“Devan has recently completed the BA3 and has been upskilled to reflect her current position in Accounts with Vertu, which she gained through promotion midway through the Admin apprenticeship. Devan proactively took through her own volition the Level 2 in Bookkeeping Certificate also last year externally to ensure that she felt knowledgeable enough to work in her new role.”

“Having shown her commitment to her personal development and through her project for the BA3 being an improvement to the accounts reporting for the subsidiary businesses, Devan is very well placed in her new Apprenticeship to develop herself further in Accounting with Vertu.”

“Devan always has a smile on her face, is keen, takes part in all the sessions with her Tutors, interacts, speaks up and shows that she is a positive person at every appointment.”

“Devan is showing great drive and enthusiasm for the Level 3 Assistant Accounting course and although the first 7 sessions she is attending will contain material previously learnt that has not diminished her drive and the purpose of examining her current knowledge and ensuring that she gains further insights".”

“As an example of her proactive influence, this morning I received from her a link to an online Excel course that she is going to take up that she thought may be of interest to my other learners.”

“Devan is consistently taking responsibility within the accounts department where she has been influential in the new and improved monthly accounts recording systems for the subsidiary business with Vertu Group, her personal development and her thoughtfulness for other learners as illustrated above.”

“The email received today, the prompt and accurate return of her paperwork on signing up for the Accounting Standards, the completion of all the IA s and the following feedback received from Claire Taylor indicate her to be fully engaged in her course.

“Devan worked well again today, she has good knowledge and applies it to questions effectively.”

“Devan is really conscientious. Works hard and seems to have a good understanding of the core concepts.”

Congratulations Devan for being awarded as LSP’s Apprentice of the Month. A huge well done for being so enthusiastic to progress in your role and also taking time to think about the development of others!
