Get to know the the LSP Team

As part of a regular feature we would like to give an insight into the LSP team members. It is always nice to find out a little more about those we work alongside and many of our staff have a wealth of knowledge, interests and hobbies that would really surprise you!

Meet Angharad Grubb

Programme Manager (South)

What sort of duties do you have at work?

My main responsibility is to ensure that learners continue to learn and progress towards achievement in a timely manner. I also am responsible for ensuring my tutors are equipped with all the resources they need to fulfil their role.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

Watching learners grades filter in from our Awarding Organisation during End Point Assessment, it’s great to monitor the success of our learners as a result of the teams tutoring.

What is the best place you have travelled to?

The most unique place I have travelled to is Ruka in Lapland. It was quite literally the coldest place I have ever visited but the landscape and stars at night was breath taking.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

I am a keen gardener.

Do you have any pets?

I have two Labradors, a black 12 year old Labrador called Dexter and a golden Labrador called Daisy.

What do you do in your spare time (if you have any)?

I enjoy spending time by the sea whether that be walking, swimming or driving- that’s where I will be.

What is your greatest achievement?

I was fortunate enough to meet the Queen when I was completing A’ Level Art - I was shortlisted as a UK finalist for a Graphic Design competition.

What is the dream car you would love to drive?

I would love to drive a BMW i8 Roadster

The best piece of advice you would give to your 16 year old self?

Start to save now so you can travel or buy whatever your heart desires.
