Get to know the the LSP Team
As part of a regular feature we would like to give an insight into the LSP team members. It is always nice to find out a little more about those we work alongside and many of our staff have a wealth of knowledge, interests and hobbies that would really surprise you!
Meet Kirsty Baggott
Operations Director
What sort of duties do you have at work?
I will name a few - overall I oversee the Quality and Delivery team, which includes the learner journey, ensuring that it is inspires and engages the learners. I look after customer satisfaction and make improvements where we can (you said we did). Most importantly I am the nominee for Ofsted, as well as the lead on the development of the SAR, and implement, monitor and maintain the QIP.
What is the most exciting part of your job?
I absolutely love my job, it such a people’s role! Every day is never the same.
What is the best place you have travelled to?
Due to my dad’s work, I was very lucky as a child as we lived in Africa for about 10 years. I also moved to Hong Kong when I was 20 so was able to see a lot of Asia.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I used to write poetry and draw a lot when I was younger. I have just started to pick up the poetry again.
Do you have any pets?
Not at the moment.
What do you do in your spare time (if you have any)?
I like having time for myself and have started exercising, I recommend boot camps – good for the soul and mind!
What is your greatest achievement?
Apart from having my children of course. I have two poems published when I was 19!
What is the dream car you would love to drive?
If I could cheat and choose two cars – It would be a Morris Minor convertible – cream and red (not asking for much). The next car would be a Dodge Viper – blue with a white strip.
The best piece of advice you would give to your 16-year-old self?
Don’t give up too easily.
Try and finish what you have started, it normally comes in use later down the line.
Enjoy yourself and don’t stress too much about what you want to do, it all works out naturally in the end.
